In case you didn’t know (or aren’t willing to watch this video) the Home Depot-esque store LOWE’S withdrew their ads from the new TLC show “All American Muslim.” A representative from Connecticut has something to say about it.
PREACH. Things like this make me especially sad. I just finished a semester working closely with Iraqi refugees in my community, and I think this kind of behavior from Lowe’s just encourages the bullying and racism directed towards people who don’t come from a Judeo-Christian heritage. Most of the school aged refugees have had to deal with insane amounts of bullying from other students and teachers. A 7 year old had to go to the hospital because kids in his elementary school picked a fight with him. This is just ludicrous. I don’t see people discriminating Baptists just because Westboro Baptist Church is full of self-righteous bigots. Lowe’s is condoning this sort of behavior, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
